Easter is a time when new life appears
And we can stop to think of those we hold dear
It’s not just about chocolate, fluffy chicks or cute bunnies
It’s about a love that we do not deserve
That was freely given for us without reserve
So that life doesn’t have to weigh us down
Because for us Jesus wore a crown
Not of silver, jewels or gold
But one of thorns, sharp & cold
He then died upon a cross
So that we no longer need to feel lost
